You can fill these with potato somosa filling or mushroom bhaji
225 g plain flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder (optional) |
Mix the dry ingredients |
3 tbsp olive oil 90 ml hot water |
Add the oil and water and mix in Knead until the dough doesn't break up Cover and leave for a couple of hours |
Divide into 10-12 balls Take a ball and roll out to 15-20cm diameter Cut into two semicircles Take a semicircle and wet from the centre along one edge Join the wet edge to the other side to make a cone Fold and pinch the pointed end to seal it Add filling to about 2/3 of the height of cone Fold one side over the filling Wet the other side and fold over the first side pinch the two corners to seal them Cover and store in the fridge until you are ready to cook them |

Heat a pan containing about 5cm of oil to 190C After another 30 seconds, take out, drain and lay on kitchen towel Put the several somosas in the oil Turn over after 30 seconds Turn over again after another thirty seconds |
